Jester Associates Inc. was founded in 1968 by John P. Jester Sr., AHC, and CSI, after years of experience with a Philadelphia based contract hardware distributor and a national hardware manufacturer. Starting out in a small row house in Philadelphia, then transitioning into a small barn office, John and his wife Joanne brought their hardware and security knowledge to schools, hospitals, and industrial clients alike. In the early 1980’s, Jester & Associates relocated to a traditional office building located in Colmar, Pennsylvania.

Within two years of moving to the new location, the company had acquired various salesmen and office staff, while also constructing a 4,200 square foot warehouse. A hollow metal door and frame business was set up along with a full welding shop, which was UL approved for fabrication work. Having found success at the Colmar location, Jester Associates expanded further and moved to its current facility, which is located in New Britain, Pennsylvania, in less than 10 years. The New Britain location tripled the size of the company in both office space and warehousing.

In the early 2000’s, our company was organized into three different divisions: the specification department became Jester Consulting, the sales department became Jester Associates, and the warehousing department became Jestec Inc. All three divisions operate in unison on a daily basis to provide top quality service and support to the commercial door & hardware industry of the Mid-Atlantic area.

Over the last 50 years, Jester Associates has added numerous product lines to its product offerings, while at the same time developing the total opening concept of sales and technical support. Our warehouse maintains the inventory necessary to serve the needs of the local market in order to ensure efficient turnaround times on all orders. The main focus of Jester Associates Inc. has always been to bring the latest and most innovative products to the commercial door & hardware industry for our customers.
